During the spring, water salamanders gather in forest ponds to prepare for spawning. On a guided hike through the Mittlandsskogen, you can get a unique insight into these little creatures and their lives. At night, water salamanders are more active. With an experienced nature guide, it will be easier to spot the animals and understand their behavior.

Practical information
Whether you choose a day or evening guided tour, we gather at Mittlandsgården, Törnbotten Road 68, just outside Algutsrum. From there we go together to the forest. We recommend warm clothes. Feel free to choose layer upon layer with overlay trousers in case of rain and wind. On the feet shoes/boots that can withstand moisture. The ground is flat but slightly uneven therefore it does not work with the stroller/walker. Dogs are welcome if they are OK with other participants.
